Standard Grade
Standard Grade pickets meet the requirement for fencing on a budget while still holding to an excellent grade specification.
As this is a natural timber product, you can expect some natural features that add to the character. In Standard Grade these may include small knots, holes, resin or bark pockets. If you desire less natural features, then our Kiln Dried (Dressing Grade) or Clear Grade is ideal for you.
Once erected, leave the fence to season then finish with paint or stain to complete the project.
Standard Grade Motueka Pickets® are CCA H3.2 wet after treatment. CCA stands for copper chromium arsenate which has been used in New Zealand for over 50 years. H3.2 relates to the hazard class rating. Outdoor timber products such as decking and fencing that are used above ground and are exposed to weather and water must be H3.2 treated.
All Motueka Pickets® are made from New Zealand Plantation Pine, come packed in multiples of 275 pieces and are preservative treated for a durable long-lasting fence.
Kiln Dried
A premium product, Kiln Dried Motueka Pickets® provide a stable, consistent and ready to paint fence. Kiln Dried is superior in quality to the Standard Grade and is typically the choice for the discerning buyer, DIYer or installer.
Kiln Dried has less natural features than the Standard Grade; smaller knots, bark and resin pockets and virtually no holes. If you desire even less natural features then Clear Grade is the product for you.
Once erected, you can paint or stain the fence immediately to complete your project.
Motueka Pickets® are the cost effective fencing option for all home types. Fence pickets are also used for security fencing, especially the Colonial profile.

Pre-Primed
Pre-Primed Motueka Pickets® are Kiln Dried grade pickets that are pre-primed with an acrylic primer.
You’ll get a straight and stable product with an immediate finish effect once erected, saving you hours of pre-priming. Simply finish with a good quality acrylic top coat to complete your project. Once the top coat is applied, any natural features which are already minimal in this grade, will not be as apparent.

Clear Grade
For a perfect, premium finish for applications where a great looking fence is a priority, Clear Grade Motueka Pickets® are for you!
Clear Grade Motueka Pickets ® are a premium finish picket for use where you want the focus to be specifically on the grain and finish of the timber. You’ll get defect free pickets with minimal visual wane, knots or resin pockets. Clear Grade can be painted but looks best stained to preserve that natural timber look.
